The 2018 movie Feathers, the 2016 film The Gospel, and an episode of the comedy series Boomerang are just a few of the short films that Rockwell has previously written and directed. Teyana Taylor, a multi-hyphenate who previously acted in Coming 2 America, portrays Inez in the upcoming film, a free-spirited and unapologetic lady who abducts her son Terry, a 6-year-old from the foster care system, though the specifics of the incident are yet unknown.
